SOLUSEK, THE NAGAFEN'S LAIR :
This donjon is placed in the Lavastorms Mountains. It is a dungeon for chars of levels 35 - 50...
But!??! It is the highest level, 50!!! Yes, it can be for that that Nagafen is a red dragon...
But!??! Are there dragons in Everquest?? Oh yes, it is a roleplaying game otherwise... At the moment, I
know the existence about three dragons on Norath :
- Nagafen, a red dragon in Solusek.
- Lady Vox, a white dragon in Permafrost.
- A Dracoliche in the Plan of Fear.
To face these dragons, SEVERAL groups of persons are needed level 50!!! To give you an idea,
Nagafen casts a zone fear spell, that makes run away by roaring half of those who came to kill him. As I
am only at present level 40, I would tell you later how I have killed Nagafen (If I survived).
Fortunately, there is not only a dragon here, there are so full small animals to amuse the adventurers in the
zone. I am going to begin with the Kobolds... Kobolds??!!?? But it is small a kobold!! Yes, I suppose
that those there had to be small one day... Extracted from a Drow records :
I enter Solusek, this dungeon is magnificent, small dark corridors connect of halls lit by torches. A close
roaring makes for me jump, I throw an eye... Oups!! It is tremendously big this "Greater Kobold"!! It
makes Grrrrr and it attacks... Bam! 75... Bang! 60... Not bad, to me... tchak! 57 , 63 zouiiiiiii!! 45 in
drain life, he he he, one makes less proud... I am going to show it what that makes attack a Shadow
Knight! At the end of a minute, I lost half of my life points, but the Kobold is for the death-agony...
Zouiiiiiii " The greater Kobold feels better "... What!!! Somebody has just healed the Kobold!! I turn
back... Hello mister Kobold Shaman! There is a smell of something burning here. It's me... RUN LIKE
HELL ! Zouiiiiii... ARGHHH!!! Rooted! MOM!! My life points fall quickly there. I cast my "Feign
Death" spell, and I collapse by feigning the death... That works!! The two Kobolds turns around me
during some seconds, then goes away from me... I get up by blessing the designer who had the idea to
enclose this spell in the list of the Shadow Knight. I cast myself a spell of invisibility and I go to the exit. I
cross a Kobold... Grrrrr... Bam! 45... These Kobolds sees the invisible!!!!! RUN LIKE HELL TO
ZONE !! Check well I am going to try to find a group...
We camp with my group in the "Circle Room". Regularly, one of our warriors pull a kobold in the room
and we chop it in pieces... Suddenly, a message arrives: " Train to zone, Train to zone". This message is
generally sent by a group submerged by monsters, and which runs away towards zone... We see so
crossing one whole group of adventurers pursued by a troop of Kobolds, of Spiders and other Beetles...
It is panic dress rehearsal!! Everybody rushes to the zone, the monsters there give to heart enjoyment
themselves and the knocks rain... I arrive at zone to fall on an Ogre who comes just to enter into
Solusek... To the left Bang the wall, to the right Bang the wall... This idiot is so wide that he prevents
everybody to pass!!!! The situation becomes tense, the fellows (me including) roar to the ogre to clear
the entrance. Behind, I hear the shouts of death-agony of the fellows who fall under the knocks of the
monsters... The insults fuse, the made ogre finally half tour and goes out... Just before going out, I take a
blow from a "Death Crawler"... One single blow... I am out now, with a ten adventurers survivors... The
ogre is hurled insults, the fellows poke him on the head, make him obscene gestures... The poor man
does not stop apologizing. I throw an eye on my life bar. WHAT!!??!!! I lost half of my life points and
that comes down still regularly!! Is it what this icon of spell on me?? " Death Crawler Effect ". I sit down
on the ground to rest... That comes always down, I am in a quarter of my life points now!!! I roar help!!
I ask heal by explaining the situation... My life points fall, fall.... HELP!!!!! Zouiiiiiiiii!!! A clerk has just
restored me half of my points.... That falls still ! I fell again in 10 % when the effect stops... Which fear!!
This beetle bit me once and I lost the total equivalent of about 1200 points of life!!!! I understand why
these lads now ran away!! Later, I return in the dungeon. Here, it is a death spectacle. 7 or 8 corpses
sprinkle the ground. It is cool, there is no mine!!
