LEVEL 15 :
That's it, I'm level 15 ! ! I have thus won a whole range of new spells. Well, when I say I have won…
The spell has costed me 5 platinium pieces each (PP), the ruin ! ! Half of my savings for the magical
sword. It hurts but here is the list :
- Bone Walk : I can now generate a more powerful skeleton to come with me.
- Mend Bones : A spell of care for the zombies, it's great for my skeleton !
- Fear : I frighten a target which runs very far away from me, it's practical when I solo.
- Shadow Step : A funny spell which transports me 2 or 3 metres further… Not terrible over the monsters,
but in case of duel, it's lethal for the other.
- Endure Cold : Maybe it'll be useful to me some day, but for the time being, in the fire mountains…
- Clinging Darkness : My favorite one ! ! It slows down the target and inflicts it regular injuries (the same at
Befallen's you know).
- Numb the Dead :Well… Obviously, it must make the zombies look more silly... If you get an idea…
The Mend Bones spell ist efficient with monsters of an average level, I send my skeleton to move in for
the kill and I take care of it. When I have used up my mana, I help it ot finish off the monster.
Unfortunately, over the strong monsters, this spell is less powerful, because they slap stronger than I can
treat… So, I have got to change my tactis from the level 15 : Clinging Darkness, I escape to a safe spot
with the monster following me slowly and suffering damage. I wait for it and throw it a Drain Force when
it 's closed enough and I charge… During the fight, I soak with Clinging Darkness. From Kodiaks terror,
I've switched to a Drake ripper in the Lavastorms, it's more lucrative !
STUPID SKELETON :
The other day, I was chasing the Fire Drake in the Lavastorm… I notice a magnificent specimen… I get
within spell range… I swing him my Clinging Darkness and I get back. Look ? ? Where is my skeleton ?
? What ? He has gone on his own to charge a Fire Imp ? ? Oh, him, eh ! ! RUN LIKE HELL… And
there's your favorite Shadow Knight running a hundred metre with a Fire Imp and a Fire Drake on his tail
(for, of course, my skeleton has exploded). Of course, in the course of the parade leading to the exit, I
bump into an Elemental of Fire ! ! ! At the moment, I don't give a copper on my chance, for, striking me
set apart, the Elemental swings me fire spells, the Imp does the same behind, and as fas as the Drake is
concerned, he is lagging behind… And all of a sudden, a flash of genius ! ! "Fear" on the Elemental who
runs away from me, that's to say straight towards the exit… So we have in the order : an Elemental of
Fire running away, then Uenaelar the Drow, chased by a Fire Imp, which sprays him with flames, and a
bit further, a Fire Drake, trying to keep up with the troop. The nec plus ultra is that I bump into a guy
who has just come into the area… He must have had the fright of his life ! ! I damn not care, I am alive !
That skeleton is really damn stupid ! ! ! !
THE RUDE NEWBIE : (or that's role my buddy ! !)
For a good understanding, I specify you can tell the software you want to play "role", your name takes
another colour, your class and your level don't appear on the players list any longer. That allows you to
play more finely the role of your character… We were discussing Maliss and me at Neriak, when a lad
approached us… (extract of the translated log).
- Newbie : Good morning !
- Maliss : Hi !
- Uenaelar : Good morning, young Drow.
- N : On which level are you, I am on level 1.
- M : What do you mean by level ? Here, we are in the area of Neriak "commons".
- N : No, I mean on which level is your character in his category ?
- M : Category of character ? What do you mean ?
- N : She is really bloody stupid ! ! She even doesn't know on which level she is ! !
- U : Young jackanapes ! ! You are speaking to a high-ranking magician ! ! Be courteous or you will soon
die by the wrath of Innoruk ! ! ! !
- N : And how can you kill me, joker ! Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha ! ! !
And the lad makes tracks whithout even say good-bye… We decide to lecture him ! On technical side, it
is impossible to kill someone who is not player killer, but Maliss and I have other means. The lad is on
level 2, he must not dawdle far from Neriak… A little walk in the forest, and we find him. Patiently, we
are waiting for him to join battle with a "Dacayed skeleton", under developped skeleton model for
Newbies (about 20 PV Max). "Do you remember of my "Mend Bones" spell ? (Your smile is telling me
you do). I thus start with treating methodically the skeleton that the poor Newbie has tried to finish off in
vain… Once the Newbie dead, we wait for his return by the corpse… After that a discussion about the
exceptionnal resistance of some skeleton has taken place. At the end of the third immortal skeleton, the
lad realizes the trick (easy, the skeleton got nicely lightened up) and flies into a rage… I have just told
him that it is one of the manners for a joker to kill a rude person… I do like the Newbies !
